Southpoint Service Although it's been awhile since I had to take my vehicle in, I do feel the dealership needs a good pat on the back. I had a 7yr/100k factory warranty on a 2003 Durango SXT; if I ever needed service, they were quick, courteous & professional. Last year when the warranty ran out, I purchased an aftermarket maintenance contract from another company. I had an overheating problem which led to a cylinder head warping, although still within tolerances. The contract company sent out a service rep & determined it was MY fault, hence, they would not pay for the repairs. The contractor's service rep insisted I purposely drove the vehicle which resulted in the damage. It turns out the thermostat had stuck close; the temp gauge never indicated a problem nor did the engine go into "stress" mode. It was only after parking the vehicle, then starting it later that I noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust; I immediately had it towed to the dealership. The service manager went to bat for me, insisting I had always brought my vehicle in whenever there was an issue. He even pulled the service records to show the contractor's rep. Although Southpoint was under no obligation, they helped me in securing an approval for the repairs from the company & all I paid was a deductible. We have purchased three vehicles from them over the years & never once were subjected to any high-pressure tactics or shenanigans. I plan to keep the Durango for two more years, then visit Southpoint to pick up a new Challenger R/T. They have several classic cars on display in their showroom: '70 Charger R/T, '53 Packard Caribbean convertible & a '59 Dodge D500 just to name a few.

Oct 6, 2010I purchased a new Challenger for my husband as a surprise and I tell you these guys work this deal until I was happy. I have bought cars before in Beaumont, and Houston and tried to buy at other places in Austin and I have never gotten a better deal than South Point Dodge. Every line of the contract was explained and every paper we signed was explained. They stayed and answered all our questions after closing time. Anyone needing a vehicle, please go see David "Soul" Burnham and Ben Shahvandi, the general manager and I promise you they will give you what you need as well as much of your wants.

Sep 13, 2010Although buying a new car is never fun..this is the closest I think you can get! Alfredo made us laugh, was direct, moved things along at a productive pace, and just made the whole experience great! I walked in thinking I could never buy a new car, and was looking for a used one, but I left with a brand new car and was very pleased with the deal. They even paid off my trade-in with no hassle. Even if you live north, make the trip south and see Alfredo. It will be well worth your time.

Newton my salesman was very paitient and kind and answered all questions I had, he really makes the jeep buying experience fun. Mark Gibson the sales director treated me like family. One Bad Boy Ram from South Point




Jul 15, 2010I contacted 4 dealerships to get a price on a cummins turbo diesel crew cab and South Point Dodge was the first to call me back. Out of 4 dealers only 2 contacted me about spending $40000. South Point priced my new Ram to me with leather and a spray in liner less than everyone else did on a base crew cab 4x4. My New RAM is BAD A$$. People will love my truck and I will tell them all to go to South Point to get the best deal. Great service, I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours.
